London: Kate Moss unseen first photos

Pictures of Kate Moss’s first ever photoshoot are being displayed at London’s Lawrence Alkin Gallery.

Photographer David Ross was asked by his friend – Sarah Doukas, who had recently set up her own modelling agency, Storm – to take pictures of a then-14-year old ingénue called Kate Moss.

“Kate was a young girl like any other, but with a certain teenage air about her that was piercing,” said Ross. “She was against the grain of any other look of the time. She was a cool kid and refreshing in that sense. She just had an attitude and an expression that kind of came easy, I guess.”

London: Jeff Koons x Dom Perignon sculpture package

Earlier this year Jeff Koons x Dom Pérignon partnered to create the Balloon Venus Sculpture Package. During Frieze art week in London the Balloon Venus package was unveiled together with the launch of two special “Dom Pérignon by Jeff Koons” boxes, designed by Jeff Koons himself.

The Balloon Venus sculpture package is made to order for £15,500 along with the Dom Pérignon Vintage Rosé. Alternatively you can also opt for the special Koons boxes of Dom Pérignon Blanc de Blancs (£130) and Rosé (£315) sold online here.

Mr Brainwash is returning to London for “Pop on Paper” at the London West Bank Gallery. The show features 40 works on paper, with a mix of revisited classics , stencils and silkscreens.

STRARTA is a new Art Fair located at the Saatchi Gallery. Featuring 30 international galleries, the artwork on show includes modern paintings, drawings, limited edition prints, photography, sculptures and multi-media works ranging from £2,000 to well over £250,000.

The Strarta Art Fair is also hosting ARTWARS, an exhibition showcasing a regiment of Stormtrooper helmets that have been customised by leading artists such as Damien Hirst, David Bailey, Jake and Dinos Chapman, D*Face, Mr Brainwash, Antony Micallef.

JR is returning to London after five years with a two-part solo exhibition, ACTIONS, at Lazarides Rathbone and multiple sites across the capital. The Inside / Out photobooth truck stopped by this afternoon and Londoners black and white portraits were pasted alongside the Somerset House.
