London: Phillips Contemporary Art Auction
London auction house Phillips is hosting a contemporary art auction featuring works by major contemporary artists. It is a great opportunity to see works by Warhol, drawings by Keith Haring, sculptures by Marc Quinn, an installation by Barry McGee, pictures by Ed Templeton and more. Last but not least, viewers can also enjoy Banksy Happy Shopper and Rembrandt that were shown at the Bristol Museum vs Banksy 2009 exhibition (featured here)

London: C215 – Back to Black
French stencil artist C215 just launched a new solo show called “Back to Black” at Stolenspace in London. Drawing inspiration from his different encounters through his travels in Europe, C215 decided to use a restricted colour palette on a series of portraits on a multitude of materials and recycled objects such as folders, luggage and tins.

London: Phlegm – The Bestiary
For his first ever solo show Phlegm created a large scale installation called the Bestiary at the Howard Griffin Gallery in London. Using wood, clay, plaster and spraypaint, Phlegm invites us in his imaginary world, where strange animals and other street artists are stored in jars and shelves, from Descreet, Burning Candy to Banksy to name a few. Upon entering the main room, we are surrounded by different narratives, on one hand a vessel reminiscent of Noah’s Ark, while a giant owl overlooks a scene of fleeing animals. Also to note that nothing is for sale, but a true experiment for the viewers.

London: Sage Vaughn – Nobodys Home
LA based artist Sage Vaughn is back to London for a solo exhibition called “Nobody’s home” at Lazarides Rathbone. The show features a series of paintings with collages of pastel coloured wildlife birds and butterflies in stale interiors. On one of the paintings, an MSK tatooed bird seats proudly outside his cage. Nobody’s Home challenges viewers to break free from routine acceptance of our domestic and public surroundings and look at the beauty of nature has to offer in this lifetime.
