London auction house Phillips is hosting a contemporary art auction featuring works by major contemporary artists. It is a great opportunity to see works by Warhol, drawings by Keith Haring, sculptures by Marc Quinn, an installation by Barry McGee, pictures by Ed Templeton and more. Last but not least, viewers can also enjoy Banksy Happy Shopper and Rembrandt that were shown at the Bristol Museum vs Banksy 2009 exhibition (featured here)

In response to the  upcoming Jubilee Celebration in June, marking the Queen’s 60-year reign, a new Banksy stencil appeared in Turnpike Lane, North London, featuring a young kid working on a sewing machine. While some of the Union Jack flags didn’t last long, the one on the sewing machine has been screwed onto the wall…

Following his recent installation in London Smithfield market, German artist EVOL and a full supporting cast of artists took over Pictures on Walls for the Christmas show with installations, sculptures, books and limited edition prints. Other featured artists include Banksy, Barminski, Dran, Tilt, James Cauty, Paul Insect, Wayne White, Might Mo, Todd James, Invader, Cept, Jerome Miller, Pacolli, Victor Van Gaasbeek, Zach Schrey and more.

London: Banksy new mural in Camden

Banksy

Banksy is back to the London streets, with a tribute to King Robbo, at the exact same spot that started  controversy two years ago.

Banksy drew the outline like King Robbo did back in 1985, and added a “spray can” candle, as a well wisher to Robbo, currently in induced coma.

Street Summer on UK TV

The UK Broadcast Channel 4 has partnered with many streets artists including Banksy for a Street Summer galore.

This week-end featured the world premiere of the Oscar nominated movie Exit Through the Gift Shop, as well  as a serie of documentaries.

One not to miss, Graffiti Wars examines the creative tensions and conflicts within street art and graffiti. It’s the story of the ongoing Banksy vs. Robbo battle that started out in Camden Regent Canal.
