Streets: ESPO Love Letter to Brooklyn

Espo Love Letter to Brooklyn

Philadelphia artist Stephen Powers (ESPO) and his team have been putting the finishing touches on “Love Letter to Brooklyn” they painted on a Macy’s parking garage in downtown Brooklyn.

The project was partially designed by Powers before it was painted and evolved with feedback from the community, including long-time Brooklyn resident David Villorente. The painted lines were  inspired by conversations he and his team had with people passing by the parking garage : “Turn to me”, “I see eternity” “Onward, upward,”  “I was nurtured here,”  “Born busy as a Brooklyn bound B” and “Euphoria, Is you for me?”
