London: Mr Brainwash returns – Part 1
Four years after officially launching his “MBW” pseudonym at the Banksy’s Cans Festival, Thierry Guetta aka Mr Brainwash has landed in London for the preparation of his first huge European show to date.
Celebrating both the Queen’s Jubilee and the Olympics, the MBW show will take place end of July in central London, opposite the British Museum. Needless to say that the building is massive, known as the former post office.
MBW put up some huge colourful paste-ups around the building with some added trademark pink paint. Stay tuned for more details.

Barcelona: Jaz solo show
Following his participation to the Open Walls Baltimore, Argentinian artist Franco Fasoli aka Jaz recently opened his first European solo show at RAS Gallery in Barcelona, curated by Maximiliano Ruiz and produced by Suben. Through a broad selection of works on paper and large scale canvases, the new body of work focuses on the duality of elements, clashes of forces with a mix of constellations.
A large scale mural depicting a confrontation between two giant bears adorns the back wall of the gallery. The energy coming out of the artworks is very powerful and balanced by a mastering technique of spray paint and use of different material such as tar. In parallel to the show, Jaz also created a large mural in the streets of Barcelona.

London: Herakut – After the Laughter
German duo Herakut is back to London for the release of their new book titled ‘After the Laughter’ . To celebrate the launch they also produced a new series of work curated by Shea&Siegler.
Featuring female figures wearing tight shiny catsuit with animal hats, sometimes a horse, a cat, a wolf or squirrels, Herakut masters spray paint to create hyperealist portraits. Looking closer, one can even see the artists reflection in the subject’s eyes.
