London: Platform 6 Charity Auction

Platform6  Stonewall Charity Auction

Not-for-profit arts organisation  Platform 6  have teamed up with Adidas and Moniker Projects to invite 16 personalities from the worlds of fashion, art, film, music and sport, including Naomi Campbell, Elton John, Kate Moss, Kylie Minogue, RYCA, Sharleen Spiteri, Viktor Ivanov, Carl Hopgood, to transform a pair of especially designed Adidas Platform 6 ‘Stan Smith’ trainers into bespoke works of art.

The finished articles are currently on display at The Bargehouse in Southbank’s Oxo Tower from Friday 6th September where they will be auctioned off with 100% of the profits being donated to Platform 6′s chosen charity Stonewall. The  auction will end at 6pm on the 14th September 2013.

London: Cranio at Fun Factory

After proactively painting many murals across town, Brazilian artist Cranio has returned to London for a one night only show at Fun Factory, featuring a series of one off originals on paper with a screen printed version of his signature Amazonian Indian.

It is the last week of the temporary space, but this will be celebrated in a bang with many events. Big up to Fun Factory for bringing back the FUN element in Brick Lane!

Tel Aviv-based artist Know Hope makes his solo debut at Lazarides Rathbone with a new exhibition, The Abstract and The Very Real, featuring a series of works on found objects, vintage frames, and old papers that explore the collective social existence.

Brest (FR): Crimes of Minds

Crimes of Minds - Sowat

During 3 years the Crimes of Minds project invited local and international artists to create 21 murals across the city of Brest (France), transforming the city into an urban art museum.  To celebrate the end of the project and launch of a book documenting the process, a retrospective exhibition has been organized within 22000 sq meters former warehouse, a perfect opportunity for artists to display artworks but also perform some  live painting.
