For the “Border Line” show at Signal Gallery, C215 is exhibiting his stencils together with photographer Jeremy Gibbs aka RomanyWG.

C215 & Romanywg Border Line

C215 new body of work is exploring the imagery of the artist Caravaggio, and his dramatic and intensely troubled world on the edge of sanity.

Since the past 5 years, RomanyWG has been documenting street art and graffiti and recently joined the ‘Urbex community’ with its exploration of abandoned buildings and industrial facilities.  RomanyWG is showing photographs both from C215’s ‘Community Service’ book and also his recently released ‘Out of Sight’ Urban Art/Abandoned Spaces book.

London: 7 shows on 7/7

It seemed that all the London galleries decided to have a show on 7/7, so I set my target to attend 7 shows on the same night:

Laz print shop The Outsiders was having a solo show with Hungarian born illustrator  David Foldvari.

Charming Baker new show in Covent Garden is featuring a selection of new paintings and a collection of bronze busts.

Moving to the London East End, I attented  the opening of “Birth of Namahage”, new monotype prints by  Grady Gordon at Pure Evil Gallery.

Studio Visit – Lazarides Printmaking studio in Wapping

See my coverage in Juxtapoz

Overlooking the River Thames in London, Wapping offers large warehouse spaces to an ever growing artistic community, so it’s no surprise to see Lazarides Gallery relocate their Printmaking operation when they outgrew their makeshift basement studio in Soho.

Some of the prints produced here will be sent to Los Angeles for upcoming shows at Lazarides’ new venture PNB, Post No Bills.

It was exciting to see the different stages of the manual printing process, and also bumping into artist Stanley Donwood who was checking and signing his latest series of prints.
