Mister Freeze Toulouse 2016

Following the recent Rose Beton Festival back in June ( see our full coverage here), the French pink city is currently hosting Mister Freeze ( a nod to the infamous art fair in London).

Thirty international graffiti and street artists have been invited to paint murals and showcase their artworks.

To kick start the festival, Brusk and Kan from the DMV crew painted a gigantic mural with a ferocious dog surrounded by a fire extinguisher and pointillist flames.

Inside and outside a former aerospace warehouse of 8000 square meters, visitors can wander around and discover playful and colourful characters by POES , JO BER, Maye or Mademoiselle Kat, as well as installations by Popay and Katre to name a few .

Toulouse: Open Summer Festival

For the 4th year running, the Open Summer Festival invited twenty international artists in Toulouse at the new creative hub Cinquante Cinq / Espace Cobalt. Outside the exhibition space, guests enjoyed live painting sessions with a Graffiti Jam, but also relaxed with a good summer feeling including barbecue and music. We also bumped into artists from the Toulouse scene like Tilt, 100Taur.

Invited artists included: Babz – Katre – Twopy – Moner – Arnem – Meyer – Druid81 – Most – Heis – Fasim – Royce – Taroe – Grems – Opera – Gomer – Dashe – Reso – Demon – Panks – Azek – Sherio – Redy – Ofusk – Smice

Inside the Espace Cobalt an exhibition displayed a series of drawings by the participating artists as well as a video projection of shorts film as well as the documentary ‘Banksy in New York’.

Mr Freeze - 50cinq

Following our recent coverage on Mister Freeze Nite & Day (see here) we attended the second place that was revealed at the last minute. The 50cinq features large scale installations, sculptures and murals by international artists.

Mr Freeze - Frigo

For the second year running the association Faute O Graff is curating ”Mister Freeze”, an exhibition featuring small gallery artworks to large scale installations. This year the exhibition is taking place in two abandonned places: Le Frigo (“The Fridge”) where the first exhibtion took place in 2013 with small scale artworks, and large scale installations in a secret place.

For this new episode of Mister Freeze Nite & Day, street and graffiti artists are playing on both fields and showing their diversity of tools and techniques.
