Paris Match group show at Opera Gallery

Celebrating the 64th anniversary of French magazine Paris Match, in partnership with Opera Gallery in Paris, 19 artists paid tribute by revisiting some of their iconic covers in paintings, sculptures, photos and other mixed media. Participating artists included Speedy Graphito, C215, Blek Le Rat, The London Police, Kan, Dest, Paul Alexis, G.J. Plisson & Brusk, Andre Monet, Gully, Gris1, Brusk, Tilt, Hisham Echafaki, Ron Agam and Zeus.

Paris – Maripol tribute to Keith Haring

Paris is celebrating American artist Keith Haring with 3 simultaneous retrospective exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, the “104” and Colette .

Moving to NY in the 80’s, French artist and fashion designer Maripol, became a close friend of Keith and Madonna, and a regular feature of the Factory with Andy Warhol. For the Keith Haring – Fashion exhibition at Colette, Maripol shares photographs, videos and fashion accessories.

In parallel French/German TV channel Arte is broadcasting a special web documentary directed by Maripol “Keith Haring – the Message” .

Paris: Alexone & Christophe Roussel

For Easter, French graffiti writer Alexone has teamed up with chocolatier extraordinaire Christophe Roussel to create two limited chocolate creations: Chocotigre and Chococaniche.

Some great eye candy, but also delicious creations with exotic tastes of passion/coco for Chocotigre, and raspberry for Chococaniche. Alexone was celebrating the launch and signing copies at Citadium Beaubourg.

London: Horfee – Imaginarium

Prolific Parisian graffiti writer Horfee is having a pop up solo exhibition titled “Horfee’s Imaginarium” at Topsafe, London. For his largest exhibition to date, Horfee is featuring various stages of his colourful and creative mind, from drawings on paper, works canvas, video animations, sculptures and bespoke installations.

London: Joram Roukes – Les bons sauvages

For his London solo exhibition “Les Bons Sauvages” at Stolenspace, Dutch painter Joram Roukes brings together human/animal morphing figures in a fragmented yet cohesive collage way. Through large scale colourful oil paintings, figures are shown in various situations, from celebrating in folklore costumes to relaxing within a dreamy landscape.
