Legendary New York based artist Ron English is currently in London for a series of events. Artrepublic is showing at Boxpark a retrospective of his famous works like Marilyn Monroe with Mickey Mouse breasts, the corpulent fast food spokesman MC Supersized, or Abraham Obama. London: Mapping the City – Somerset House

Following the success of the 2014 exhibition Futurismo Ancestral: An Offering to Peru by Sixe Paredes (featured here), the collaborative arts organisation Approved by Pablo is curating a new exhibition entitled ‘Mapping the City‘ at Somerset House in London.

Over 50 internationally recognised artists from the street art and graffiti scene including Shepard Fairey, Ron English, Swoon, Momo, Remed take over the New Wing of Somerset House to share their knowledge of each city’s secrets and urban landscape through a variety of media from illustrations, paintings, sculptures, installations and videos.

Following his participation to 2014 Paris Nuit Blanche (covered here) and Art Basel Miami, American artist Mark Jenkins returns to London for a solo exhibition ‘ Moment of Impact‘ at Lazarides Rathbone. Featuring a new body of hyper-realistic works with three dimensional canvases from his continuing ‘kicked series’ and life-sized sculptures, Mark Jenkins is also introducing a brand new series of child-size mixed media sculptures.

Saatchi East Meets West

The Saatchi Gallery is bringing together 250 works by 110 artists from China, the Former Soviet Union, Taiwan, the UK and the USA in a comprehensive survey celebrating Pop Art’s legacy. Post Pop: East Meets West shows the powerful influence of the Pop Art movement over artists from world regions regardless of their political ideologies.
The exhibition is presented through the framework of six themes:
